GoPlanSets

Governed engineering intelligence

Rules with sources.
Unknowns that stay unknown.

GoPlanSets is building a dated California jurisdiction registry and a testable electrical-engineering rule library. Nothing becomes an export rule until its authority, applicability, boundary tests, and independent review are recorded.

An inventory is not a rule pack

All California city and county authorities can be listed without pretending their requirements have been researched. Each authority moves through unverified, researching, reviewed, released, and stale states. Only a released, effective-dated pack can unlock a permit export.

Roof geometry release standard

Similarity is not accuracy.

A clean outline can still be dimensionally wrong. Every roof model is classified by its evidence, solved in physical units, checked against independent controls, and exported as vectors. Aerial imagery alone stays preliminary.

G1

Remote feasibility

Satellite, aerial, or Solar API evidence for intake and preliminary layout only.

G2

Measured geometry

Machine-readable roof facets with dimensions, pitches, provenance, and residual checks.

G3–G4

Field controlled

Drone/LiDAR with control, survey, or direct field measurement for as-built tolerance.

Release gate

Closed polygons ≤ 1 in · control RMSE ≤ 2 in · no residual > 4 in · independent check dimensions · every edge sourced · every module inside the allowed roof region after setbacks.

Active authority review

City of Los Angeles

The 2026 Los Angeles code basis is active, while the City’s public solar catalogue still exposes older standard-plan materials. GoPlanSets therefore allows evidence-backed draft projects but keeps paid permit export locked until the current route and migrated rules are authoritatively confirmed and independently approved.
