GoPlanSets

Method and limits

What GoPlanSets checks, and what it cannot decide

GoPlanSets turns verified project inputs into one versioned source document. The cover, roof summary, electrical summary, labels, calculations, and PDF read from that same source so repeated values can be compared automatically.

Deterministic checks

The 95 fidelity gate

A draft cannot earn 95 from typed totals alone. It needs measured roof-plane vectors, a module-by-module coordinate layout, equipment locations, conduit paths, an established drawing scale, six-inch-or-better documented tolerance, and independent geometry review. If those inputs are absent, the roof sheet says so instead of drawing a generic house.

Photo-to-sheet evidence graph

The guided site survey asks for specific context, detail, measurement, route, framing, clearance, and exact-model evidence. Each upload is classified to the site plan, roof plan, mounting details, one-line, calculations, labels, equipment elevation, or data-sheet appendix it supports. A broad “roof” upload cannot make an unrelated electrical or structural gate pass.

Five-plan regression corpus

The current benchmark contains two anonymized LADWP/LADBS standard plans plus reference packages from Pasadena, Goleta, and South Gate. It separately scores source-match fidelity and permit readiness so a visually plausible draft cannot hide an unreleased authority rule pack.

Qualified review is mandatory

Software cannot verify field conditions, structural capacity, equipment compatibility, local amendments, fire access geometry, conductor routing, or every AHJ interpretation from typed inputs alone. A qualified designer or engineer must compare the draft with current source documents, site evidence, manufacturer instructions, and the applicable jurisdiction rules.

Current launch boundary

Los Angeles, Pasadena, Goleta, and South Gate are available as draft authority profiles. Every profile remains export-blocked until its current solar route, local amendments, fire requirements, utility coordination, and technical test vectors are independently approved.

Authority status

California's 2025 Building Standards Code is effective January 1, 2026, and Los Angeles identifies its current local editions as the 2026 Los Angeles Codes. Published solar materials and local workflows do not all share the same update cycle, so paid permit export remains locked until the selected current route is confirmed.
